Hi all! Here are some notes on future
trainings and service projects that we
have been working on.
This info will help the new committee
taking over in February.
SERVICE PROJECTS:
Allie has scheduled the Habitat Build Day,
for March 20th. More than 50% of the members
already agreed to attend at the Jan. monthly
meeting, thus it will count as a service
project and possibly a way to honor
Cesar Chavez.
On that note- Thank you to Amanda! for
coordinating us for the MLK service project
and "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day". Next
meeting we should discuss if we would all
like to go to Disneyland as a group.
FUTURE POTENTIAL TRAININGS:
1.Another (more complete) Financial Literacy
-Training through "Community Housing Works"
(Allie's contact), "Legal Aid" (Amanda's
contact)or "San Diego Seminars" (Ari's
contact).
2. CPR and National Disaster Training.
-Lead generators Allie and Jana.
3. Conflict Resolution Training
-Amanda attended the 2 day training and is
coordinating a possible 1 day training.
4. Job Development/Case Management Training
-Lead generator Jana. This will probably be
a specific training for those interested
and that could use the skills for their site.
5. FAFSA/Educational Award Training
-This will probably be provided by Jana and
for those interested only.
6. Overcoming difficulties/developing
yourself at your site training
-Jana will coordinate inviting old AmeriCorps
members to present on topic.
7. Stipend and taxes information.
-Jana
8. The possibility of having a LISC
prominent board member come and speak to
group -Jana
9. Leadership/Public Speaking Training
Lead generator- Ari
ADDITIONAL NOTES:

training for us.
